Do you believe in love at first sight? To most it seems a ludircous notion, such a powerful emotion could not be harnessed so easily. An impossible thing, only ever heard in fairytales. But nothing is impossible.

Spring was fastly approaching, the winter snow all but melted puddles strewn across the rejuvinated ground. Life was swiftly returning to the large dome-like valley, with trees and flowers blooming. A sense of fresh hope beckoned the creatures grazing quietly in the sunlight. These creatures were in fact of the eqiune species, what esle did you expect? Several of the feamels ahd enlarged bellies, claerly showing t
[x] Sanity [x] What do you see [x] The Beast Itself [x] The Works Pathways.
Shafts of sunlight cast through the straggled branches half heartedly danced along the thing pathways and muddy earth. Besides this rare occurrence there was no hint of life or tempting warmth residing within the dense forest. And maybe this was the reason that I was interested in this place, the fact that there was nothing more than the place itself. It was an intriguing matter, and an opportunity that perhaps I should not pass. That decision would come later, for now it was inspection of the said item that was at hand. A strict and careful process i would take my time with it, for the decision was crucial to my plans. Whatever they may be. I would mull on them later. Their intricate depths too time consuming to discover now.
The cramped pathway had not been formed by a element of nature, but most probably equines long gone and passed. Why the paths had not been devoured by weeds and tree roots I could not speculate, and there was no need to. The paths were here, someone had saved me a lot of work, thats all that mattered. Some may have thanked the secret and rotting corpses of those who had slaved to do so, but i held no gratitude. They had saved me the work, but I would have liked that action to keep my mind from playing with my thoughts. They had not done a good job of it anyway, I could only just fit. How sad. I find myself once again pointlessly observing the handiworks of lessers.
I had halted, but not out of fatigue. Chambers beckoned the crisp air through their passage ways. The aromas which automatically struck out at me as they did so were somewhat a drug to me. Skull rose to met more fresh torrents of air as the addictive scents plagued my mind, I lusting for more. Death, suffering, panic, fever. Oh how I basked in those feelings and atmospheric decor'. I prompted sockets into action, their sunken black depths scanning for the original source. I could not find it. Thorns flicked back angrily, I needed to know where it was coming from. Paper thins once again welcomed the scents, this time I looking for a direction in which it came. It had none. It was in the air itself.
Lips peeled themselves back as I longed to drink the air. If only it were possible. Incisors snapped at mere air, viciously ripping it to shreds. I discontinued this act quickly, getting a hold on what I was truly here for. Tainted ivories were hidden once again by my charred kissers. Mud encrusted pedestals paced for wards at a tedious walk. This place... I had heard of it from some other forsaken mortal I passed. Dying, they had relayed a story to me, of a land crouched behind the mighty mountains, showered by shadows all day except for an hour just before dawn in the rest of the lands. None dared to go there, cursed they were he said. Used to home some of the most fearsome beasts, the heartless. I had smirked at the mere filth, he was weak that fellow and as I said before dying. Pity. I liked live prey. As I looked down at the bloody framework of that equine I moved closer. Treading slowly down upon its jugular with my fore dagger I whispered a few words to him. " Heartless, yes. Soulless? no, they are merely in Satan's grip". I laughed cruelly as his last breath gasped from larynx.
Indeed though the information the beggar had given me was priceless, he obviously was one of the only others who knew of this place. You think I am cowardly for killing the dear old fellow? Hardly. I did not want him tattling to anymore people he met, he was silenced accordingly. We both got something, he got out of his suffering, I the pleasure of dealing fates deadly card. now back to these lands. My purpose I will finally reveal, though you may have already guessed my intentions. Yes, though so Clique, I needed a herdland for my own, I would not be ruled over by another. They had to be secluded and unholy, like me. So far I had concluded that this was the best i would find in Kolotherein. Resigned to the fact that this would indeed be the housing for however long I spent here I let rip a screech that rebounded and echoed off the trunks of the trees. It hung unwavering in the air like a deadly gas. Snorting impatiently appendages pounded grinders several times into the earth. And with a final toxic whisper I concluded this chapter in my story. Chernobog, you're mine.
